After nearly 30 years in the advertising industry, including 15 years as a Digital Creative Director, I found myself navigating a hiring process increasingly shaped by automation and age bias following my 2024 layoff. Instead of waiting for another opportunity, I returned to the kind of work that first inspired me: creating art, making prints, and launching The Manual Gallery 303, where craft, curiosity, and human connection take precedence over algorithms.
